Paucartambo Festival 2 Days
Typical and beautiful city of adobe and tile, of narrow streets, located 109 km from the city of Cusco and 2,830 m with colonial architectural jewel built on the Rio Mapacho by order of King Charles III of Spain in 1775, is built of stone and mortar, your church has a tower attached to the ship pitched, the cover is worked in stone arch flanked by two pillars holding an open chapel with balusters, inside you can see the Altar of the Virgen del Carmen known as the Mamacha del Carmen lifelong patron and mayor of the province, crowned by the Pope John Paul II in recognition of the deep Fe Paucartambo.

JULY 15 Th: CUSCO – CHULLPAS DE NINAMARKA – PAUCARTAMBO
We will leave Cusco at 07:00 am approximately heading to the Paucartambo village, the trip will last 4-5 hours, along the way we will visit the Chullpas of Nina Marka, after a brief visit we will enjoy the box lunch and we will go on to Paucartambo to arrive in the early afternoon to the town. We will go to the hostel where will spend the night. In the late afternoon we will have the opportunity to take hundreds of pictures of the typical dancers dressed in colorful costumes, perhaps you will be one of those chosen to dance and enjoy the experience of this religious festivity
JULY 16 Th: PAUCARTAMBO / TRES CRUCES DE ORO / PAUCARTAMBO / CUSCO
After midnight, at 2:30am we will go toward Tres Cruces (3739 m.a.s.l) by bus, to appreciate the dawn and the sunrise, the trip will last 1 and half to 2 hours. The purpose of leaving so early is to get preferential places in Tres Cruces. Once the sun is out we will have a spectacular view of the cloud forest and rainforest. After this special experience we will come back to Paucartambo. Also, if you wish, we can attend a mass service at the church, where the Mamacha del Carmen receives the kindness and devotion of the believers celebrating the main service before the Mamacha del Carmen goes out in procession through the streets to give her blessing on the Hispanic bridge called Charles VI. We will return to Cusco in the early afternoon arriving at 8 pm approximately.
