Day 1: Arrival in Lima - City Tour

Airport pick-up and airport-hotel transfer

Guided Tour of the city of Lima, touring the main tourist spots such as the Cathedral of Lima, Convent of San Francisco, Plaza de Armas of Lima. Continuing on to the modern sectors of Miraflores and San Isidro. In the afternoon you will have the freedom to go to the Jockey Plaza Shopping Center, which has more than 230 commercial outlets offering a variety of products and services.

Day 2: Pachacamac - Lima (B)

LUNCH AT A TRADITIONAL PERUVIAN RESTAURANT: At the end of the tour we will stop at a famous restaurant in Miraflores to enjoy a buffet lunch that will include a variety of dishes and desserts of one of the richest, most exquisite and original cuisines in the world.

Departures: 9:00 am (Tuesday through Sunday)

Day 3: Lima - Cusco (B)

Pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport. Flight Lima - Cusco. Arrival in Cusco and transfer to the hotel.

Day 4: City tour Cusco

13:45 Hrs. Aprox. We will visit the Cusco city, visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral and the tempo of the Sun or Koricancha. We will drive out of the city to visit the Inca sites of Qenko, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay and impressive archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, famous for its enormous carved stones joined with astounding precision to form the outer walls, some of them standing over 9 feet tall and weigh over 350 tons. 18:30 Hrs. return to the city of Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco - Sacred Valley (B)

8:15 AM. Pick up. We will start the guided tour through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, to the following places:

Pisaq, typical Andean village, traditional and archaeological where there were the famous fairs, visiting fairs, typical markets and archaeological remains.

We arrive at the town of Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch at a country restaurant.

Ollantaytambo Archaeological Group, agricultural complex administrative, social, religious and military time Tahuantinsuyo, comprising temples, platforms and connected by a complete system of irrigation canals.

Chinchero archaeological site. Return to Cusco (Arriving time: 6:30 PM)

Day 6: Wonderful Machupicchu (B)

Early wake Up (by 05: 30 a.m.), Breakfast. We will take the early Tourist bus Up to Machu Picchu Sanctuary.

The exciting exploration begins with a visit to the world famous Machupicchu Sacred Temples (Sun Temple, Condor Temple) agricultural terraces, sacred rocks, water fountains, the famous Intihuatana and other important Inca buildings. During the tour, our guide will explain the meanings , importance and story of Machupicchu while we walk around the Machu picchu city for around 2 hours. After your tour you'll have free time to explore the site by yourself.

Later in the afternoon you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes where you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and then carry on by car to Cusco, where we will arrive late at night.

Day 7: Cusco - Ayahuasca retreats (B) (L)(D)

Note: Please don’t take breakfast, you are allowed only to drink water. We’ll pick you up from your hotel at about 9:00 am, and transfer to the Shamanic center in the Sacred Valley. In this place our Shaman (from Q’eros native Comunity) works with the coca leaf reading for about one hour, Then you will take part in a cleaning and flourishing ceremony, with this you will be prepared for your healing sesion with ayahuasca that will begin at about 7:00 pm (it has a duration from 4 to 6 hours. The Ayahuasca is a Quechua Word, it means -Death’s rope- Ayahuasca, Banisteriopsis caapi, is a liana which herbal medicinal plant doctors traditionally define as their master plant par excellence. This chicha works as a physical purifier, it facilitates meditation, balances energies and awakens intuition. We will provide you light meals for this day. Overnight in the Shamanic Center.

Day 8: Ayahuasca retreats (B) (L)(D)

In this day we will have a special ceremony to pay offering to our Mother earth Pachamama with the Shaman. You will take part in this ceremony. We will provide you light meals for this day. Overnight in Shamanic Center.

Day 9: Ayahuasca retreats - Cusco (B)

After breakfast , we'll take our vehicle and come back to Cusco city. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 10: Cusco - Wiracocha temple - Pucara - Puno (B)

We’ll pick you up from the Hotel and take our bus to visit Raqchi, the temple of the God Wiracocha. This archaeological group corresponding to the period Inca. Likewise. After that, we’ll continue to Puno by our private transportation, We’ll have a parade to have a Buffet Lunch in Sicuani, Then We’ll continue to Puno and have a Stop in Pucara - Kalasasaya Temple from the Pucara Culture. Then Will continue to Puno City. Arriving about 5:00 pm

Day 11: Fertility temple - Aramu muro - Puno (B)

7:00 AM Pick up from the hotel. The excursion begins visiting Inca Anatawi, taking a car heading towards the south of the Titilaka refuge and then a moderate climb on foot to a rocky mountain, to reach an interesting Inca Trail remain where some polished stone seats were finely carved in large rocks, a vantage point for enjoying the panoramic view of the vast lake. After the descent, visit the local community for a brief rest and view their colorful textiles. Continue the journey south to visit the doorway of Aramu Muro, believed to be an inter-dimensional portal by local shamans. Then, visit the beautiful colonial churches of Juli and Pomata, which were the center of evangelization of the highland plateaus. The churches brag striking architecture, gold-leafed altars, still maintaining remarkable paintings from the vice royalty era and massive bells that still toll up to today. Return to Puno arriving at 7:00 PM Aproximately.

Day 12: Puno - Uros - Taquile (B) (L)

Pick up from your hotel at 06:45 a.m. and transfer to the port

We will take our motor-boat ride on Lake Titicaca to visit the uros floating islands. For hundreds of years the livelihood of this tribe is based on the benefits of a unique plant: the totora reed (scyrpus totora). They use it to build their homes, boats and even the floating islands they live on, periodically adding new layers of reeds. They also use it in their highly developed weaving.

You will have time to share with the people the Uros, and then we will continue on to the Island of Taquile.

On Taquile island the people maintain their old customs, dressing in traditional clothing and doing things the old way. You will witness the millenary techniques of hand- weaving beautiful textiles. There is also a craft fair on the main square that sells exceptional wool goods which are of very fine quality and somewhat expensive; also you will enjoy a typical lunch in Taquile (natural products), after that you must to descend a stairway of more than 500 steps - streaks of stone that wind their way among greenery platforms, we will reach the port and come back to Puno by motor boat.

You will arrive to Puno at 5:15 pm aprox.

Day 13: Sillustani - Juliaca - Lima (B)

Pick up from the respective hotel to take the car and go toward the Archaeological Complex of Sillustani; arrive to Sillustani, the great necropolis of the nation of Kolla, takes the North road of Puno in the road to Juliaca, until the town of Paucarcolla. The Chullpas is stone turrets considered as funeral monuments of the Kollas and Incas, built with more than 12m. of height, worked in stone, keeping the secrets of the cultures who populated in the highland for but of 3000 years. After That we continue to the Airport Juliaca.

    Pre Retreat Restrictions.

    Dietary: Do not consume drugs, alcohol, coffee or chocolate for two days prior to your Ayahuasca ceremony. Avoid canned food, red meat and pork, cold cuts, spicy food and excessive salt and sugar. Do not take any medical prescription (natural or otherwise), drugs, antibiotics, injections, pills, supplement, vitamins or others. No food or beverages that have artificial colors flavors or preservatives.

    During your stay with Etnika’s we remind you that it is not permitted to smoke, drink alcohol or to take any type of prescription or non-prescription drugs without consulting us.

    Food: Eat well. Good organic food is recommended. If you’re not vegetarian you can consume chicken or fish. To strengthen the brain we recommend eating ceviche (Peruvian food) and ask for tiger’s milk/leche de tigre (both without spicy_ sin aji) this is a concentrate juice of the ceviche.

    Other: It is recommended that you refrain from have relations a day before the retreat as can reduce physical energy levels making it harder to cope with the effects of ayahuasca.

    It is suggested that the women who are menstruating or pregnant abstain from participating. Period pain and discomfort may result in a negative experience while journeying with Ayahuasca. However, if you do not experience sever pain or discomfort then it is ok for you partake.

    We recommend waiting till the second or third day of a period to allow you to gauge the intensity of the pain.
